When can my child start preschool?
We accept children from two years old until they move up to primary school.
What times is preschool open?
We are open every day during school term time until 3.30pm, except for Wednesdays and Thursdays when we close at 1.15pm. Sessions are 9.30am until 12.30pm and 12.30pm until 3.30pm. We also open for breakfast club every day at 8.30am and we have lunch club every day until 1.15pm.
What does lunch club involve?
Lunch club starts after the morning session at 12.30pm and runs until 1.15pm You provide your child with a packed lunch and staff sit with the children whilst they eat their lunch. You can use your funded hours to pay for lunch club.
What about breakfast club?
All preschool children can attend Breakfast Club. Breakfast is provided and included in the price. You can use your funded hours to pay for Breakfast Club.
What is the best time of year to apply for preschool?
Applications to join preschool can be made at any time for any child under school age. All applications must be made in writing on our application form, which is available from preschool.
How do I apply?
Get an application and registration pack from our manager Liz, or our Deputy Ruth, or print one off from the ‘Apply’ page and fill it in. Return it to Liz with your registration fee to secure your place, its best to discuss availability of the days you want with Liz first. If we are full Liz will add you to our waiting list and we will contact you as soon as a space becomes available.
How do I pay?
You will be given an invoice two weeks before the end of each half term for the following half term. These will specify a date you need to have paid by. You can pay by Cheque or BACS or, if your invoice is below £50, you can pay by cash.
Can I get Funded hours for my child?
All 3 and 4 year olds and some 2 year olds qualify for 15 hours funded by the government. From September some children will be eligible for up to 30 hours funded, more information about this will be available soon. Speak to Liz about claiming your funded hours.
Can my child visit preschool before they start?
Parents are welcome to bring their children in before they start to get used to the new environment and preschool assistants. Parents must stay with their children.
